Just like kids have their own personalities our kitties also have their own personality.
Izzy - Izzy is a sweet kitty. He LOVES to be petted. He is skitish though. If you drop something he'll run. He doesn't like you to hold him. But when you're having a bad day he'll come sit with you.
Addie - We call Addie a princess. She likes to be on her own. She has her moments where she likes to cuddle. She doesn't like you to hold her either. But she is very sweet. She has her moments when we say she is sassy.
Annie - is Kevin's baby. Back in Fresno she would meow at the garage door until Kevin came home. She'll sit on the counter and just meow at you. She loves to sit on your shoulder. She'll let you hold her. And she loves to cuddle with Daddy.
Buddy - is FULL of personality - which is the reason why we got him in the first place. I could probably dedicate an entire blog just to what he does. He loves attention. Sometimes he'll follow you around the bed and meow - you pat your chest and he'll go on his hind legs and rest his front paws on your chest. He loves to jump up on the shower enclosure while you're taking showers. He will bump his head against you when he wants attention. I love watching him when he sleeps - he sleeps in the craziest positions - which you'll see on this blog. I have picture after picture of him in weird positions that don't look remotely comfortable. He loves to be petted - and sometime will give you love nibbles. And his meow is hilarious at times - it's high pitched and is so fun to impersonate.
Tigger - is a love bug. He loves to lay right on your chest and pulsate his paws in your neck - it's cute but it can hurt. He will sit on your lap for hours. He loves to carry things in his mouth - socks, plastic bags, balls, etc - and while he walks around the house with these objects in his mouth he'll meow loudly. If we hear him meowing in a different room we'll ask what he has in his mouth - and most of the time he'll come and show us. He loves to purr. And lately he has been our escape artist - he's been dying to go outside. You open the door for two seconds and he'll bolt out. It wouldn't be so bad if it would be easy to get him back in the house - but usually it takes a little while.
Kit Kat - we found Kit Kat in a Walgreens parking lot (click here to see that post). We soon learned that he didn't want to be around other cats. He would attack our other cats, so we gave him his own room. When he's not in his room he is outside. Lately though he hasn't been as aggressive and he can be in the rest of the house until he's ready to go back to his room or ready to outside. He is a sweet cat otherwise - he is a lap kitty. We just wish he would be nice to our kitties so we could enjoy him more.
Shadow - she's not really a trouble maker - she's a pretty good kitty. She's not really a lap kitty - she'll let you hold her but not for a long time. She does visit me when I'm using the restroom (I know that's TMI - but that's when I get the most of my "Shadow Time". Her meows are adorable - they're more like a squeak than a meow. You walk by her and sometimes she'll squeak at you. She is a sweetheart.
Bear - Bear is definately Kevin's cat. He will follow Kevin around the house. He LOVES sitting on Kevin's lap. Kevin will call Bear and he'll come running. He'll meow at Kevin. I don't get quite the attention Kevin gets.
Frisky - is a character. He LOVES to lay on his back. His tail is a "whale of a tail" as we call it. We haven't had a long hair kitty before so we are just amazed with how much hair he has. Frisky tends to be Kevin's cat as well - he will cuddle with Kevin - not so much with me. Although, he loves to lay on the top of my Grandpa's chair that I sit in all the time. Sometimes he'll come and see me. When you walk by him he'll meow at you. Frisky LOVES Kit Kat - the only one of our cats that does. He gets so excited when we let Kit Kat out of his room or when he comes back in from the outside. Frisky will run to Kit Kat and rub up against him. And luckily Kit Kat doesn't seem to mind Frisky so he'll play with him.
We love our kitties. They bring soo much joy in our lives.
